There are difficulties generally with the placement of liability insurances and these are more pronounced for organisations in the contracting trade and those involved in high risk activities. The premiums have been increased considerably and in certain cases, insurances are not available.

However, Camberford Law plc, with its old-established and substantial connections with Insurance Companies and Underwriters in London and the City, have developed unique and special arrangements whereby insurances are arranged for liability and other covers on realistic terms.

Insurances and Services Available for the Contracting Insurance Scheme

Employers' Liability
This insurance is required by law and provides cover for legal liability in respect of accidental death, bodily injury or disease to employees arising out of and in the course of his or her employment.

Public Liability
Under this section, indemnity is granted in respect of accidental bodily injury to any person (other than an employee) and/or damage to property arising during the course of your company’s business.

Products Liability
This provides indemnity for any legal liability arising out of any products sold, supplied, stored, handled, manufactured, treated or distributed by the Insured in connection with the business.

Contractors' All Risks
Cover is provided on an All Risks basis for work in progress, materials in trust or in temporary storage and at the contract site. Cover can be extended to include loss or damage to your plant and equipment or hired-in plant including continuing hire charges.

Buildings, Content and Equipment
Insurance can be arranged for buildings, office contents, stock and any other property against the risks of all-risks, fire, special perils, theft and other perils.

Motor Fleet Insurance
Camberford Law plc have special schemes for Insurances of private cars and commercial vehicles on motor fleet basis.

Risk Management/Health & Safety
We strongly believe that it is in everybody’s interest to prevent accidents and losses wherever possible particularly in today’s difficult insurance market conditions where insurers are looking for better working practices and standards for acceptance of risks. We have connections with surveyors and consultants who will work with you on all matters relating to risk management and health & safety in order to formulate solutions for prevention of accidents, claims and losses.
